Situated in the Cultural Precinct of South Brisbane, between the Qld Art Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art, the State Library is a spacious building for educational and social interaction.

A showpiece of architecture, the SLQ includes gallery and display areas, childrens learning space, Indigenous education area, auditoria and meeting rooms.
