An informal photoshoot on the top of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs overlooking the glittering Brisbane river and city CBD. Join us for a BBQ dinner in the park and enjoy a photo opportunity with a stunning Bollywood performance group.

Kangaroo Point park is located on River Tce toward the Story Bridge and has been recently re-styled by the city council. The park are consists of an amphitheatre at street level and undulating grassy areas leading up to the Anglican Church. The cliffs are popular with local rock climbers and their 10 metre face is challenging for all skill levels.

We will be meeting at the cliff park on River Terrace at around 6.30 but you are welcome to get there earlier and watch the lights come out on the city or on the cliffs themselves. The Bollywood dance troop will be performing from 7 and will be available for individual or group poses.

Mark Rayner from Trekabout Photography Workshops will be on hand to direct the dancers and provide tuition to help you get that great shot.

A hamburger and a drink will be available and is included in the ticket for the evening.

Gala Dinner

The annual gala dinner is a must-attend event this year as we'll be savouring the exotic atmosphere and taste sensations of Ahmet’s Turkish Restaurant in Brisbane's Southbank. The Sultan's Feast will satisfy all with an array of aromatic dishes, accompanied by delicious drinks (wine, beer and basic spirits are included in the ticket price).

And don't forget to bring your camera and a fast lens to capture the mesmerising belly dancer as she winds her way through the tables later in the evening.

Print Auction

Amidst all the usual fun and socialising, we'll also be hosting the now-traditional PSQ Convention print auction. We have a fantastic selection of high-quality prints and books generously donated by our illustrious speakers noteable photographers.

Although bidding can be fierce, dinner attendees sometimes walk away with stunning art at a fraction of its market value. See the Auction Items for further details.
